No. Every word starts from zero.
On a new word's card the app says the word, its meaning and an example sentence, and shows the word's own painting. Then you say the word yourself.
Right after the cards come short turns from memory, three words at a time: the app says the word and you give its meaning, then it says the meaning and you give the word. If you can't say a word, the app shows a hint — its first letters — and asks it again a little later.
The app suggests starting with five new words a day.
