1. These terms
Word Gallery is made by Andrey Teplyakov (“we”, “us”). By using the app or this site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Word Gallery.
2. Who can use Word Gallery
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you.
3. Your account
You can use the app without an account. If you create one, give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the Delete your account page.
4. Free and Premium
- What Free and Premium include is described on the Pricing page.
- Premium is a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play and billed by them under their terms. It renews automatically until you cancel it there.
- Cancelling in the App Store or Google Play stops the next renewal.
- The 7-day free trial is offered once per account, on the yearly plan. Cancel at least a day before it ends and you pay nothing.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.
- If Premium ends, you keep reviewing every word you have learned; only new words stop.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first.
5. Words you add
When you send a photo or a list, you confirm you may share it, and you let us process it to read the words. Do not send anything unlawful or offensive. We may decline a word. A word we make for you joins the shared collection, available to every learner, without your name.
6. Our content
The app, the dictionary, the paintings and this site belong to us or to those who license them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them to learn. Do not copy, resell or redistribute them, and do not try to take apart the app or collect its content automatically.
7. Fair use
Do not misuse Word Gallery: no attempts to break or overload it, to reach other people’s data, or to get around its limits.
8. A learning aid
Word Gallery helps you learn; it does not promise results. Speech recognition can mishear you, and an AI reading of a photo can miss or add a word — please check the list before you add it.
9. Changes and ending
We may change, add or remove features. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You may stop using Word Gallery at any time.
10. Warranty and liability
Word Gallery is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those stated here, and our liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Word Gallery in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. This limit does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of the country you live in that cannot be limited.
11. App stores
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Their terms also apply to how you download the app and pay for Premium. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA. If you live outside the United States, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws of your country that cannot be set aside by agreement, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. Otherwise, disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
13. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app before an important change applies.
